to Obtain Theater for

December 6

The entertainment planned to take place

December 6 to aid the Home for the Blind has been indefinitely postponed

because no theater could be obtained for the occasion. S. V. D. fraternity will

give a benefit entertainment for the institution December 17, and it would not

have been feasible to hold a second entertainment for the same cause any later

in December.

Those who had the entertainment in

charge wish to thank Charles E. Sheldon, Jr., who volunteered to arrange a

musical program, and Lamar Hill, who expressed a willingness to look after the

dramatic feature. Thanks are also due to Mrs. William Lawson Peel and Mrs.

Thomas B. Felder, who, with their usual kindness, were ready to lend their

assistance.

All the public

and private schools and colleges were ready to take part in the recitation

contest, and several prominent citizens were willing to give their assistance.

As the entertainment would have been a most unique and interesting one, its

postponement is greatly regretted and it is hoped it will be given some time

early next spring.
